Episode of Color Yellow – My Personal Experience with Discrimination
Posted on May 6th, 2009 No commentsOn Tue, April 9, Texas State Rep. Betty Brown suggested that Asian-Americans should change their names because they’re too difficult to pronounce.
“Rather than everyone here having to learn Chinese — I understand it’s a rather difficult language — do you think that it would behoove you and your citizens to adopt a name that we could deal with more readily here?” Brown said.

A Work of Art — The Amazing Little Dumplings from Ding Tai Fung!
Posted on May 5th, 2009 No commentsI posted about how to reheat frozen steamed buns yesterday, and that topic sure got noticed and sparked interest, however the in
terest was in the “buns” – people wanted to know where they can get Ding Tai Fung steamed buns in Bay Area. Well, sorry to break your heart but Ding Tai Fung has only one location in U.S. and it’s in Arcadia, CA.

How to Reheat Steamed Bun
Posted on May 4th, 2009 No commentsI was down in L.A. over the weekend and of course I went to my favorite restaurant in Sol Cal – Ding Tai Fung in Arcadia. If you like little steamed dumplings (xiao long bao), this place simply is the best of the best. After the meal, I bought some frozen buns and 8 treasure rice/sticky rice dessert to enjoy at home this week.

Soulmate, Solemate
Posted on May 3rd, 2009 No commentsWhen I drove/moved back to San Jose at the end of March, I could only stuff so many boxes in my trunk and back seat. Therefore I was forced to leave many personal belongings down in L.A. with a friend, and the toughest left behind struggles was my shoes. But once I got back to San Jose, I found I literally have no space for any of my stuffs Read the rest of this entry »

Posted on April 30th, 2009 No commentsThere are couple videos on Facebook that were filmed by Jerald and I wanted to tell the whole world that “Yes, Fall of 2006 with TNT is my favorite season”, and so glad that many people feel the same as well.

Not Your Usual Running Group
Posted on April 29th, 2009 No commentsThe Hsinchu Hash House Harriers has just celebrated their 10 year anniversary on Sat April 25, with 105 people show up on a rainy day, and so sorry that I missed it by 5500 miles. What is or who are Hsinchu Hash House Harriers? Not too hard to tell from their tagline on their website – “Hsinchu’s kennel of the Hash House Harriers. The drinking club with a running problem.” And I can’t forget how I got involved with a drinking club that’s situated on the other side of the globe.

So, here are my picks – Gatchaman

Joy of Running
Posted on April 27th, 2009 No commentsThis morning I finished my 5 miles around 7:40 am and was having a blast!! I have ran the first 2 miles solo and
met-upwith my new running buddy Thuy and did another 3 together. I have foundThuy on Craigslist who just recently moved to San Jose from Dallas. Glad that I can be his new friend in town and offer him the same friendship that I had received from Chris two years ago when I first moved to L.A.
Thuy and I were talking about running and hiking, and I told him that I could never stand walking/hiking for 11 Read the rest of this entry »

Go Amazon!
Posted on April 26th, 2009 No commentsGot an email last week from Amazon.com
for “Product Recall Notification”; it’s about a Senseo Coffee Maker
that I have purchased almost two years ago and I was surprised that Amazon has notified me about this. Reason one it has been a while since the purchase, and I have bought two exact Senseo back then – one from Amazon
for myself and one from another website as a housewarming gift for a friend of mine. Two years later Amazon is contacting me Read the rest of this entry »

Prost! German precision!
Posted on April 25th, 2009 No commentsOK, so it is 3:10pm on a more laidback Fri afternoon, and you won’t need to Skype with the engineers in India or your PM in Taiwan — TGIF! You email, Facebook, twitter to bounce off ideas where to F2F tonight with your buddies…, communication is action! Later that night you sit down at a microbrewer and so looking forward to the tingly spicy hot wings and “a pint of” ice cold beer…
“Wait a second, my beer isn’t poured full” your skinny German colleague barked!
