A Personal Account of the Team in Training Experience – A Runner and Her Girls
Posted on April 30th, 2009 No commentsThere are couple videos on Facebook that were filmed by Jerald and I wanted to tell the whole world that “Yes, Fall of 2006 with TNT is my favorite season”, and so glad that many people feel the same as well.

Not Your Usual Running Group
Posted on April 29th, 2009 No commentsThe Hsinchu Hash House Harriers has just celebrated their 10 year anniversary on Sat April 25, with 105 people show up on a rainy day, and so sorry that I missed it by 5500 miles. What is or who are Hsinchu Hash House Harriers? Not too hard to tell from their tagline on their website – “Hsinchu’s kennel of the Hash House Harriers. The drinking club with a running problem.” And I can’t forget how I got involved with a drinking club that’s situated on the other side of the globe.

Childhood Memories Cartoons – Gatchaman
Posted on April 28th, 2009 No commentsI was doing the “Pick your 5 Favorite cartoons when I was younger” on Facebook last week, and the silly quiz has brought back some old memory from childhood and I found myself humming the opening theme songs from my favorite cartoons. So, here are my picks – Gatchaman
, Candy Candy, Rascal the Raccoon
, The Rose of Versailles, and Vicky the Viking.

Joy of Running
Posted on April 27th, 2009 No commentsThis morning I finished my 5 miles around 7:40 am and was having a blast!! I have ran the first 2 miles solo and
met-upwith my new running buddy Thuy and did another 3 together. I have foundThuy on Craigslist who just recently moved to San Jose from Dallas. Glad that I can be his new friend in town and offer him the same friendship that I had received from Chris two years ago when I first moved to L.A.
Thuy and I were talking about running and hiking, and I told him that I could never stand walking/hiking for 11 Read the rest of this entry »

Go Amazon!
Posted on April 26th, 2009 No commentsGot an email last week from Amazon.com
for “Product Recall Notification”; it’s about a Senseo Coffee Maker
that I have purchased almost two years ago and I was surprised that Amazon has notified me about this. Reason one it has been a while since the purchase, and I have bought two exact Senseo back then – one from Amazon
for myself and one from another website as a housewarming gift for a friend of mine. Two years later Amazon is contacting me Read the rest of this entry »

Prost! German precision!
Posted on April 25th, 2009 No commentsOK, so it is 3:10pm on a more laidback Fri afternoon, and you won’t need to Skype with the engineers in India or your PM in Taiwan — TGIF! You email, Facebook, twitter to bounce off ideas where to F2F tonight with your buddies…, communication is action! Later that night you sit down at a microbrewer and so looking forward to the tingly spicy hot wings and “a pint of” ice cold beer…
“Wait a second, my beer isn’t poured full” your skinny German colleague barked!

Listen up, Runners!
Posted on April 24th, 2009 No commentsI travel for work a lot, and in order to keep up with my training I always pack my running shoes in my suitcase and try to find a safe trail or route to run in the cities that I’ll visit. Usually I will sign up with a local runners club on-line prior my trip, and ask for recommendation and advice from fellow runners out there; I have found good running routes in New York, Vancouver, Calgary, Taiwan…etc. through virtual friends. It’s also very informational to exchange running techniques, race experiences, nutrition info… in forums. .
One of the often discussed topics in the forums is mp3 – whether it’s ok (or allowed) to wear an mp3 player or not during road running or a Read the rest of this entry »

Sun Protection is a MUST for Runners
Posted on April 23rd, 2009 No comments
It’s only April now and the “official” start of summer hasn’t arrived yet – summer season is often considered to begin at the Memorial Day weekend. However, I have already experienced the heat after my 5 mile morning run last weekend. Before the arrival of summer I would like to remind my fellow runners (or non-runners) the importance of protecting your skin when you run (or simply go) outside. Read the rest of this entry » -
Life will find its own way
Posted on April 22nd, 2009 No commentsThe other day I woke up around 6:00am and of course got to check my Mafia Wars status first while getting ready for my morning run. Saw a message coming through facebook from Simon whom I have met through work couple years ago. Simon lives in Toronto, Canada, so he was the last stop of my press tour while working on miniPC product launch back then. He found out that I am no longer with Enermax and hoped I was not affected by the economic downsizing. Read the rest of this entry »

Runners Checklist
Posted on April 21st, 2009 No commentsI’ve never liked PE classes when I was a kid or teenager, but couple years ago I started running and training for races and have finished several marathons. I enjoy the cleared head after each morning runs, and love the I-can-do-anything feeling when I cross the finish lines with arms raised and Vs into the air. Through runnings, I learned to see distance in different perspective, and appreciate being healthy and active. Also got the opportunity to meet new friends and learned training tips from very good runners. Over time, friends and colleagues started asking me about how to become a runner or a better runner. So I think it will make a very good start for my blog — share my running experiences from the very basic “Runners Checklist”. Read the rest of this entry »
